Postby Chris Adams » Fri May 28, 2010 7:36 pm

Hey guys,

Another opportunity has arrised to race for bowling trophies in Memphis Tennessee. They race onroad, all classes imaginable except for Mod TC.

The dates are July 10th and 11th. I went last year and there was over 80 entries if I remember correctly. This willl be one of the biggest onroad races in the country and its only 6.5 hours from Dallas. I hope we can get a big MHS showing.

You know that I am down. Already have it down on my schedule to be off that weekend and will be participating. I will be running 17.5BL and 200mm nitro for sure.

Hey guys,
Got back late late last night. It was a great weekend for MHS racers and racers in general. Everyone had fun in Memphis. Some more than others. AWD finally got his glitching problem fixed after the third qualifier on Saturday and put down a good run in the Last chance qualifier on Sunday putting himself either 8th or 9th on the grid in Expert 17.5. Andrew also put himself second on the grid in Vintage.

Not sure how Juan ended up in his nitro class. I believe he was stuck running a car that he hadn't run yet and ended up 4th... dont quote me on that.

Myself, well I had a great weekend. Our boy Joey Wright sent me a setup that he has been running up in New Jersey. I put it on, changed a few things and Tq'ed throughout the entire event in the expert 17.5 class by 9 seconds over second. In the main it was exactly the same. Only running 2 seconds slower than my fastest qualifier, I won by 9 seconds. Andrew, who now had my setup ran all the way from his 8th or 9th starting position to 3rd by the end of the race. Was an excellent run by him as 3rd to 10th qualifiers were seperated by about 7 seconds.

Overall, a great showing by the Texas guys. Hopefully we can get more guys to go next year as its a great touring car race. 25 entries in expert, 18 in sportsman, and at least 10 in the nitro classes. Mini coopers were ran as well as a A and B Main in vintage trans am.
